PTSO General Membership Meeting

- Nominating Committee reviewed submissions and proposed the above members to their respective positions. Motion unanimously passed to elect the members.
- General:
- Review & approve general membership meeting minutes from Nov 2025, Jan, and March
2026 meetings
- Motion unanimously passed to approve minutes for the record.
- Vote on Bylaw Amendments
- Major changes include: Quorum reduction from 15 members to 10; officers previously limited to 3 consecutive years for a term per office and now, removing consecutive term limits.
- Motion unanimously passed to accept the bylaw amendments.
- Discuss positions/committees needed
- Registered Agent for school year 2026-27
- Currently Katie O’Donnell
- Registered agent should be a 3rd party for a fee, to limit personal liability; purchased on behalf of the PTSO.
- Special Guest:
- Gentle Dental Care – Dental Assistant program for High School Students
- Emerald Frost – Office Manager
- 50% off teeth whitening for new patients
- Dental Assistant Program – 10 week program; can take after high school, can apply for a job after completing the course & can also lead to other fields.
- Fliers are available in Student Services.
- Budget:
- Treasurer report
- Report as of 5/27. Since last meeting, ANGP tickets and lawn signs.
- PTSO provides grants for classroom support and clubs.
- Largest expense is the ANGP payment to STJ.
- Most of the fundraising has been for ANGP, and Holiday Extravaganza.
- Provided monthly recognition to teachers; luncheon; honor roll; special days (Counselors, Bus Drivers, etc.).
- FY will end June 30, so final payments will go out.
- For next year, due to decision to pause the Holiday Extravaganza, funds will be significantly decreased. Going forward, we will need 6 for the Committee to do the work year-round; 20 for on-site execution.

- TSA; top student/top advisor recognitions
- DECA top 20 in world; strong in international business
- Crew top 10 nationally

Announcement -
Lorton Holiday Extravaganza & Craft Show at South County HS will be postponed for a year.
- Upcoming events:
- Graduation – 5 Jun 2026, 2pm, Eagle Bank Arena
- ANGP at STJ – starting at 11pm
- Stallion Stampede, 8/20 1-3pm
- BTSN, 9/3 6-730pm
