About South County PTSO
Mission:
The SCHS PTSO mission is to enhance educational and community experiences for the students by creating opportunities for service, education and events that support and promote student, teacher, parent and staff relationships.
What Does the PTSO Do?
The PTSO serves all South County students by providing volunteer support and financial assistance to various clubs and requests throughout the school year. Our fundraising efforts allow us to provide school-focused programs and services such as:

How Can You Help?
- Join and participate in the PTSO. Becoming a member means you support our organization and believe in what we’re doing. We ask for no further obligation unless you want to be more involved.
- Volunteer your time and skills. Parent volunteers are critical to the many activities we support outside the classroom. An hour can be a big help to our organization and the school, and we have positions and tasks to fit all schedules and interests.
- Volunteer to serve in a committee chair or co-chair position.
- Support our many fund raising activities, such as, Stallion Walk-of-Fame, SAT/ACT practice tests and Boot Camps, shopping at Amazon.com via our PTSO website, Giant A+ Rewards, and the annual Golf Tournament.
- Donate money to fund requests from teachers, school programs and clubs.
- There are several ways you can stay informed of PTSO information:
- Visit our website frequently,
- “Like” us on Facebook (South County High School);
- Follow us on Twitter
- Attend our monthly PTSO meetings. Our meetings alternate between an evening meeting in the library or a morning “Coffee with the Principal” held in the cafeteria.
- Also, make sure that your email address is correct in the PTSO Database so that we can send you important PTSO information via email.
