Welcome and Introductions:
Welcome and approve the new board
o Vote: Membership unanimously approved the new board members.
Meeting Goals
Introduce the new Membership Chair - Zepel “Z” Robertson.
Current Member Count: 255
Asked members to consider joining committees and remind the community to
become members. Anyone can be a member.
Treasurer’s Report:
Membership is higher than typical at this time of year.
Fundraising events at the beginning of the year
ANGP, class magnet, and White House ornament sales ongoing
Seasonal Roots
Review the current budget and get approval for the year.
o ANGP Budget $45,000
o Membership fees estimated $5,000
o Support to the classroom and clubs; monthly events and recognitions;
science fair; student success; honor roll; teacher development; Teacher
Appreciation Week, Back to School Breakfast, and Back to School Night
o As budget stands, we will deplete the majority of our budget. Generally,
Extravaganza brings in $30,000 per year.

o Vote: Membership unanimously approved the budget.
Principal’s Notes:
Lisa Beskenis, Assistant Principal present for Dr. Khoshaba
Homecoming is week of October 12, dance on Saturday October 17. Spirit
activities are almost finalized. Parade Thursday and game on Friday of the week.
Leadership is planning.
Requiring teachers to send progress reports more frequently, 2 times per quarter
starting in 2 nd Quarter. In past, parents would log into ParentVue with current
standing in each class.
PTSO Committee Needs:
Fundraiser Committee (Direct Mail Appeal to be sent out to surrounding
neighborhoods, more Restaurant Nights, possible Dec. 5th mini community
event, etc.) These first two committees can be the same people.
Extravaganza Committee (TBD - Planning for a 2027 Extravaganza)
Class of 2027 Committee (Help plan and execute fundraising events and
participate in the year’s Class of 2027 activities/ANGP)
Military Families Liaison (Coordinate and help with events with the Military and
Family Life Counselor, Ainsley Graf. Contact Information: 571-599-0639)
Monthly Recognition Committee (Custodial, Bus Driver, Counselors, APs, etc.
Appreciation Days: Source all goodies and deliver to recipient/s.)
Science Fair Dinner Committee (Coordinate with the Teacher Lead to order the
pizzas, snacks, and beverages for students participating in the Science Fair. Set
up and serve food. Then clean up. Approx. a 3-hour process.

SCHS and Athletic Boosters Volunteers Needed
Student Services needs two adults to lead and organize our school pantry.
Volunteer time consists of about 4-6 times a year to organize donations on
Mondays.
Concessions are one of the primary ways the South County Athletic Boosters
Club raises funds to support our teams, student-athletes, and facility updates.
Whether you can cover a shift at the outdoor stand or assist indoors, your time
makes a huge difference.
